El Espacio Aglutinador is the longest running independent art space in Cuba. Founded in 1994 by artist Sandra Ceballos in her own living room, the gallery has been recognized internationally as a critical venue for cutting edge Cuban culture. In recent years, El Espacio Aglutinador received support from The Prince Claus Fund and was name one of the 100 most important galleries in the world by Art in America.

The Artist in Residence Program
The Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild (WBG) offers two residency programs: one-month Artists-in-Residence (AIR) residencies in summer to visual artists and writers, and Ceramics Residencies for one to five months, May through October. Our goal is to provide solitude in community and undisturbed time in which to concentrate on independent, creative work in company of follow artists. Professional recognition is helpful for admission, but is not essential.

Project grants in all disciplines enable artists and arts managers to carry out projects in the U.S. Applicants must have a letter of invitation from a U.S. non-profit organization to enter this competition. Since 1999 ArtsLink has supported 64 Independent Projects from 19 countries.
