SSB AWAY provides crucial time and space for artists to step away from recent current events and upheavals and rest and inhabit a nourishing space of creative sanctuary where solitude, access to nature, and multivalent privacy abound.
Eligibility: FROM LOS ANGELES COUNTY ONLY: Writers, visual artists, composers, musicians, performance artists, architects, designers, curators, and art workers—as well as activists, thought leaders, spiritual teachers, and others working to foster mutual respect and understanding. Students are not eligible.

CALL FOR MAIL ART FOR “ABC No Rio at 45” EXHIBIT
“ABC No Rio at 45” an exhibit about the history of the NYC cultural space ABC No Rio from its creation in 1980 and it’s transitions up to the current time will be presented at the Emily Harvey Gallery in NYC in April 2025.
Part of the exhibit will be a mail art section of work sent in specifically for this exhibit.
We are looking for your personal impressions of ABC No Rio from the last 45 years.
What are we looking for? Remembrances of people, exhibits and performances, reproductions or images of work that were exhibited in the space, text of poetry or spoken word.

For 50 years, this prestigious program has hosted hundreds of artists from 25 countries. Arts/Industry provides the unique opportunity to explore new ideas, processes, and perspectives while creating work using the resources, technology, and materials of the Kohler Co. factory in Kohler, Wisconsin.
