The Barbican is a unique, dynamic Arts and Learning Centre that presents artistic experiences with collaborators across music, theatre, dance, visual arts and cinema that variously entertain, enable, enrich, and enlighten our many audiences. Applications are open for the Art Explora—Académie des beaux-arts European Award, the leading European Award supporting new dialogues between the arts and audiences.

Foto Arsenal Wien (FAW) is the new center for photography and lens-based media in Austria. Kunsthalle Wien (KHW) is the City of Vienna’s primary institution for contemporary art.

FAW and KHW are collaborating to develop a new concept for the City of Vienna’s Festival of Media Arts. Originally conceived as an annual event in 2020, it has explored the intersection between contemporary art, lens-based media, digital culture and technology.

Phileas—The Austrian Office for Contemporary Art invites museums, biennials and art institutions around the world to apply for funding support for projects in 2025.

Our mission is to support artists, curators, galleries and institutions in Austria and strengthen their presence on the international landscape of contemporary art, enabling the production and exhibition of new artworks and their donation to public collections.
