Phileas—The Austrian Office for Contemporary Art invites museums, biennials and art institutions around the world to apply for funding support for projects in 2025.

Our mission is to support artists, curators, galleries and institutions in Austria and strengthen their presence on the international landscape of contemporary art, enabling the production and exhibition of new artworks and their donation to public collections.

Since 2014 we have supported over 100 exhibition and publication projects worldwide. This is done through an application-based process. The application deadline for funding collaborations in 2025 is Monday 16 September 2024.

I'm excited to share that we've just launched the 2024 open call for The Six Foot Platform, a performance/art series presenting six Brooklyn-based artists on Washington Street, Dumbo's most photographed block over six Saturdays -- in partnership with the Brooklyn Arts Council. The international contemporary art fair ArtVilnius, marks its 15th anniversary this year and is delighted to announce an open call for applications from galleries and artists wishing to exhibit. Widely regarded as the most important visual arts event in the Baltics, the fair will take place between October 4–6 in Vilnius. Art galleries have until May 30 to submit their applications to participate.

The Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant supports emerging and established writers who write about contemporary visual art. Ranging from 15,000 USD to 50,000 USD in three categories—articles, books, and short-form writing—the grants support projects addressing both general and specialized art audiences, from short reviews for magazines and newspapers to in-depth scholarly studies. The program also supports art writing that engages criticism through interdisciplinary methods and experiments with literary styles. As long as a writer meets the eligibility and publishing requirements, they can apply.

Writers are invited to apply in one of the following categories:
