Being Gay: A Visual Dialogue Between Straight and/or LGBTQ Artists.

The exhibition explores such topics (but is not limited to) faith and
homosexuality, gay history, sense of community, effect on professional life
or society, gay neighborhoods, fashion, homophobia, straight people in gay
places, ageism in the gay community, gay role models, ordinary lives, coming
out, gay icons or heroes, discrimination, homosexuality as an evolutionary
puzzle, integrating into society, political issues, is tolerance enough?,
marriage, PRIDE, engaging in gay rights issues across cultural and religious
borders, feelings associated with being gay, regional differences, gay as a
main identifier, gay friends or family members.

Eligibility
Open to artists living in the U.S.
All work submitted for consideration must be available for exhibition March
7, 2009 ­ April 1, 2009
Please do not enter work previously shown at 2cc.

Cash awards $500, $300, $200, $100 plus the infamous Eye Opener Statue.

2cc accepts emailed images as well as slides, photographs and digital
prints.

We are unable to accept online payment at this time. Please mail the entry
form and fee.
Slide Entries
Please mark slides with your name. PLEASE make sure all other info is
listed on the entry form.
Photographs or digital prints should be no smaller than 5 x 7 and no larger
than 8.5 x 11 (actually exhibition image can be any size). Slides and
prints of accepted pieces will be returned when the exhibition closes.
Please include a SASE.

Entry Fees
$10 per entry for members and $20 per entry for nonmembers. Join now and
get a free entry. Annual membership is $40. No fee for 3D detail slides (2
detail slides per artwork). Please make checks or money orders payable to
2cc. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Volunteer hours in the gallery/garden and online are accepted in lieu of
