On Earth Day 2007, besides interior pieces for its "Off The Wall/3"
show Eco-LA was able to secure display time from CBS Outdoor and Van

WEB-BASED VIDEO-CONFERENCE TOOLS in a networked performance event.
Participants will contribute short, live, direct-address performances to a
multi-lingual audience of academics, artists, performers and conference

imagery and sound to enhance meaning and intensify aesthetic impact. The
final output is then projected and amplified throughout the reception site.
The idea is to "hack" into the conference reception/lounge from somewhere

USAI just announced some new grant opportunities for American artists (now
includes solo performers along with dance/theater ensembles) who are
performing at international festivals in 2009/2010. Rolling application
deadlines begin in January.
It appears only American artists/companies can apply, but it's something for
international festivals/curators to consider as a potential funding source
for presenting American performers.
See http://www.foundationcenter.org for details.
