ATTENTION ALL ARTISTS!

All, right. So I have been a real delinquent with AMP. I haven't posted since August of last year! I most humbly apologize by offering up this terrific chance for all artists on AMP to participate in one great contest. Go to http://www.artallaround.com to find out about the international "Art All Around" contest in Maine. You never know... your artwork could be the next big beautifying bit since Guernica!

Since moving to Maine, I have been very busy becoming part of the creative economy. My 'zine, "Adventures for the Average Woman," is still alive and kickin' with new prose, poems, and paintings. Check out the new issue at www.ideagems.com.

Brian Eno is a Prophet

I discovered Brian Eno when my ex-boyfriend choregraphed to his music. I liked what I read at the time in 2001.

"An artist is now much more seen as a connector of things, a person who scans the enormous field of possible places for artistic attention. To create meanings, or perhaps new readings, which is what curators do - is to create."

Now Mr. Eno is talking politics, the war and everything else:

Solidarity…A Zeitgeist Campaign

Simply put: A Zeitgeist Campaign is the act of injecting a new thought process into the existing collective consciousness.

It may be something that’s already there and needs to be brought to the surface or a different way of looking at something that is actively in the zeitgeist and offer a new perspective of it. The intent being the ripple effect of thoughts or actions that can be gained from a simple discussion on how we look at and talk about issues.

Sonic Arts Network presents the first in a series of six episodes for the Sonic Arts Network podcast series.

SAN explores the outer edges of sound and music, from artists working within the fields of sound art, noise, electronic music, modern composition, field recordings, drone music and anything else that straddles the term sonic art. Roots and Wings

If there is light in the soul,
There will be beauty in the person.
If there is beauty in the person,
There will be harmony in the house.
If there is harmony in the house,
There will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in the world.
well Martin Luther King said, Every body can be great........because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. you don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. you only need a beart full of grace.A soul generated by love.

Childern who has never been Childern

Several months ago I had a project with UNHCR in Iran about Afghan refugee children.wow It was a great experience for me and unforgettable. Many artists and I went to the place where Afghan children lived there.
we tried to teach them how to show their passion with painting.
The name of this project was ''The Unheard Voices of Refugee Childern'' was the theme for world Refugee Day celebrations around the world,20''June 2007.
