Celebrate the Jung-star in each of us - call for submissions

Emerging Visions visionary art ezine #12, theme title: Jung @ Heart
expected to emerge in deepest July

I find it easier to work the collage with a running theme, usually associated with the astrological influence at the time of "emergence" of the issue. #12 is due out during the astrological month of Leo, around Jung's birthday. Leo rules youth and heart.

For Submission Guidelines and Issue #11 Imagine Nation:
http://emergingvisions.blogspot.com

I am hoping you will submit artistic visions relating to fairytales, youth archetypes, playfulness, creativity, childlike wonder, and such.
If you have something for the issue, please do send it.

Sounds from the Edge in the Holland Festival

The Holland Festival - one of the oldest and most established large theater/music festivals in Europe is every June in Amsterdam and featured an international cadre of performance/music/dance and experimental work - hollandfestival.nl

Dance

The brilliant choreographer William Forsythe is an American choreographer who settled in Germany long ago and started his own company in Frankfurt. His brilliant work Decreation was exactly that - a melting piece of choreography as dancers distorted their bodies and voices and used an incredible sound design to highlight their rapid dialogues and descent.

Oil Refinery Construction and Environmentalists

I keep hearing the argument that we environmentalists are blocking the construction of oil refineries, which is a big reason why gas prices are so high. I found this hard to believe, so did some research. I found a lot of information, but this site puts the key facts nice and concisely. Please at least read the excerpt so we can all gage more realistically where we stand.

Thanx,

Nance

excerpt from the above link:

...the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association conceded at a May 23 Senate hearing on price gouging that gasoline supplies were temporarily tight. But the oil industry lobby went on to note that:

our oil situation

I keep hearing and reading anger vented against the environmentalists and the liberals for not allowing drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge...and that drilling is the solution to our suffering at the gas-pumps. I didn't know enough about it, so I did a little research.

I found that if we sucked all the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge oil into barrels, the amount would only last the United States 10 to 12 months (at 2007 rate of consumption), if we stopped importing oil.

I've enclosed some links to interesting data, because I really liked learning about this stuff and think you will too (if you haven't read up on it yet).

Hello

I just wanted to say hello to all the AMP artist. I just sat here and went through the features and noticed the blog. So, here I am using it for the first time. I do not have much to say. I merely wanted to say hello to all.
