Between Tradition and Contemporaneity

"Theatre Methods" is the annual professional festival-fair dedicated to the Bridge between Tradition and Contemporaneity in performing arts. The festival is an opportunity to demonstrate methods of training in traditional theatre and to present contemporary works created as the result of traditional theatre training techniques.
At the moment THEATRE METHODS 09 has been accepting presentation proposals.
Presentation format:
‧ performance (not requiring special technical conditions)
‧ workshop/master class
‧ work in progress
‧ reading/lecture
Call for Mural Artist/Leimert Park Village
LA Commons, Community Build, and KAOS Network are collaborating on a
unique project to engage an artist/designer to work with a Core Youth
Arts Team
(15-25 years old). The goal is to create a 20' X 12' mural that will
be on the corner KAOS building located
at the corner of Leimert Park Boulevard and 43rd Place, Los Angeles,
California 90008
The Role the Lead Artist/Designer in this project will be:
1. To participate in story/image gathering process.
2. To mentor the Core Youth Arts Team to foster youth in the
development of skills in image making and design.
3. To design and incorporate youth design and community images
gathered into a mural that will serve as a gateway graphic to welcome
visitors to Leimert Park Village.
