After Madrid in May and Berlin in July, the 17th Rencontres Internationales will create during 10 days, from November 28th to December 7th, a space of discovery and reflection between new cinema and contemporary art, a circulation between different spots in the city: at the Centre Pompidou, at Jeu de Paume national museum, at Paris-Villette Theatre, at New Latina Theater, at Goethe Institute, at Cervantes Institute, at Canadian Cultural Center, at Swedish Cultural Center and at Finnish Institute.
The Brand Library Art Galleries is now accepting submissions from
artists, artist groups and curators for exhibitions to be scheduled in
2010.
The mission of the Brand Library Art Galleries is to offer visitors a
professional gallery experience by showcasing works of established and
emerging artists from California-particularly from Southern
California-that educate, enlighten, challenge, and enrich people's
lives.
Original work in all media will be considered.
Submissions will be accepted between November 1, 2008 and January 31,
2009.

Fabrik Media Group is launching an online TV channel to showcase art-oriented film and
video works. We encourage filmmakers to submit films, documentaries, experimental
videos, flash videos, short films and music videos of all lengths.
MISSION & OBJECTIVE
Fabrik's mission is to provide a venue for artists to showcase their work to a worldwide

WHEN THE SCULPTOR and pop artist Jeff Koons came to Harvard
University's Carpenter Center last semester for an advertised
lecture, the hall where he spoke was jammed to overflowing, and
people had to be turned away at the door. When Spanish cinema
director Pedro Almod€ ¦óvar spoke at Harvard a few years ago, a crowding
crisis was averted by the decision to hold the event twice. Similar
turnouts have greeted the artist Ed Ruscha and architect Maya Lin.

THEATRE METHODS 09
Between Tradition and Contemporaneity

"Theatre Methods" is the annual professional festival-fair dedicated to the Bridge between Tradition and Contemporaneity in performing arts. The festival is an opportunity to demonstrate methods of training in traditional theatre and to present contemporary works created as the result of traditional theatre training techniques.
At the moment THEATRE METHODS 09 has been accepting presentation proposals.

Call for Mural Artist/Leimert Park Village
LA Commons, Community Build, and KAOS Network are collaborating on a
unique project to engage an artist/designer to work with a Core Youth
Arts Team
(15-25 years old). The goal is to create a 20' X 12' mural that will
be on the corner KAOS building located
at the corner of Leimert Park Boulevard and 43rd Place, Los Angeles,
California 90008
The Role the Lead Artist/Designer in this project will be:
1. To participate in story/image gathering process.
2. To mentor the Core Youth Arts Team to foster youth in the
development of skills in image making and design.
3. To design and incorporate youth design and community images
gathered into a mural that will serve as a gateway graphic to welcome
visitors to Leimert Park Village.
