Next month's show theme is wearable art. We're looking for your creativity
on virtually anything that you feel can be described as wearable or some
kind of wearable art. There are no limitations as to what you can do, but we
are looking to showcase your best pieces on such items as t-shirts, jeans,
purses, wallets, bags, hats and pillows Submissions can also be handmade
products such as jewelry, sewing pieces, crafty items, papier-mâché on
forms, fashion illustrations or just some dope art ON ANYTHING. If you have
done pieces like this in past life, please submit to showcase at the
gallery! We are welcoming the old and the new.

Los Angeles County Arts Commission's Free Concerts in Public Sites
Program Now Accepting Applications
The Arts Commission sponsors free concerts at community venues
throughout Los Angeles County to provide access to quality music
programming representing the diversity of County residents. The
program provides funding to cover the payment of musicians at
community concerts offered free to the public. WebGrant applications
for the Los Angeles County Arts Commission's 2009 Free Concerts in
Public Sites Program are now available on www.lacacgrants.org.
Applications are due on Wednesday, March 4.
Applicants for the Free Concerts Program must be willing to
coordinate all logistics, production and marketing of the event, and
Los Angeles County Arts Commission's Musicians Roster Program Now Accepting Applications
Attention Musicians: The Los Angeles County Arts Commission is
seeking Los Angeles County-based musicians to apply to the Musicians
Roster, the only comprehensive online directory of professional music
groups in the region. The Musicians Roster was designed for the Free
Concerts in Public Sites Program, which provides free concerts to
community venues throughout Los Angeles County and pays musicians a
performance fee at rates comparable to those established by the Music
Performance Fund. It is also an important resource for the community
at-large to access the rich and diverse pool of musical talent
available in Los Angeles County.

Day de Dada is a performance art collective based in Staten Island, NY. We are planning our schedule for 2009 and have a few events lined up. The events are open to all and we welcome colaborative performances. The theme this year is art and commerce.
Saturday April 4th, 2009 "Day de Dada Confab" at Cafe ETG
Join us for a meeting/performance at Cafe ETG (208 Bay Street, SI, NY)
6:00 to 8:00 pm We'll be meeting to plan for our annual “Day de Dada” event to be held at Art by the Ferry in June 2009.
8:00 to 10:00 pm will be an open mic for the Dada group. Come and try out something you've been working on. The theme is art and commerce.
