Women of God is a new art retreat fostering the creativity and spirituality of women artists. Located in Northeast Alabama (US) it sits amidst state parks, national preserves and an art community.
Artist-Owner Ann Hamilton opened the retreat in her 1890's Victorian home in January, 2009. It is in the historic district of Fort Payne, Al.
"I have long wanted to share this lovely old place with other women artists, and I finally figured out how to do that," Hamilton said.

Call for Submissions: square art work (Southern California - deadline June 30)

The Downtown Artist Project is calling for ALL SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ARTISTS to submit images of SQUARE art work, including photography, to be considered for display in Pershing Square's Art Squared outdoor gallery.

Submission fee is $30 for up to 3 images. All proceeds go toward the cost of producing the shows. DEADLINE: JUNE 30, 2009
