Tallinn Art Hall is Estonia’s central exhibition venue for contemporary art, operating since 1934. 15 contemporary art exhibitions are organised each year in its three exhibition spaces on Tallinn’s central square and surroundings. Our diverse programme covers solo exhibitions as well as international group exhibitions both by guest and in-house curators. Our main focus is on the present, and with our exhibitions we wish to offer opportunities to create new work. Our ambition and field of activity has international scope; at the same time we are also responsible for the success of the active and abundant local art scene, for the creation of art and, as one of the oldest art institutions locally, also for the history of Estonian art. We are a public cultural institution funded principally from the state budget.
