instant karma

So two weeks ago our computer crashed at work, it has taken this long to get a new one installed. While I was rather daunted (in my own unique paranoid way) by the idea of probably losing 8 months or one year's worth of art and manuscripts, Amy was strangely calm and cool and collected.

"We'll make more!" She said.

I have to admit, her attitude calmed me to a certain extent, but I continued to fret until last night. My boss (formerly our techie until it was out-sourced) managed to transfer everything (amounting to hundreds of images) to his computer. In a day or two I'll transfer everything to discs (like I told Amy I needed to do about three weeks ago).

All hail to Satan (my boss)!

Practical and Subtle Life Skills

We all need hope in these times of seemingly endless suffering, pain, greed, and so much needless health problems.

Welcome to Practical Ways to Higher Health, a path walked by many, but misunderstood by most.

My story was like many. I bottomed out as a young man after a car crash left me with a broken neck. It was my fault, driving like a stunt man, and thinking I could do almost anything. I was arrogant and wreckless.

But as I recovered, I learned about true healing, and what our bodies are capable of. Over the past 20 years, I have seen so many “miracles,” they all seem normal and natural for each of us…

Dear Filmmakers,

I am writing from First Person Arts, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit
organization dedicated to the art of the personal story, to announce First Person America: In These Hard Times, a national competition for filmmakers, writers and photographers. It is a great opportunity for film makers to stretch their creativity and get national recognition.

We are dedicated to making this competition representative of artists from
every region of the country and from all walks of life, and the
collaboration of artists and organizers like yourself is essential to
helping us reach that goal. I hope that you will join us in spreading the
word!

Watch Art Happen - Art Towers Call for Entries

Watch Art Happen - Art Towers Call for Entries

Simon Rodia took 33 years to build his towers in Watts, Gustave Eiffel built a famous tower in France and Antoni Gaudí created 18 towers as part of the Temple of the Sagrada Família in Spain. These towers soar above us but also inspire us. Some were built by men with extensive education, others by simple men with very little training. All were compelled to create something that motivates, either creatively or spiritually.
