Event Sales Coordinator
The Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), in Long Beach, CA is searching for an Event Sales Coordinator. This position is responsible for selling the venue for events and will be responsible for facilitating all banquets and parties from start to finish. The Event Sales Coordinator reports to the Museum Events Manager.
This position offers a benefit package, including paid holidays, health, dental insurance, and Simple IRA plan. Salary DOE- plus commission
Essential Functions:
• Sell and market all areas of the facility that include a multi-purpose room and an outdoor event Sculpture Garden
• Works with the Museum Events Manager to develop strategic planning for selling and marketing of outside events
We are looking for Male dancers who have strong Salsa Skills (ability to lead and willingness to follow is a must - this is partner work! An additional plus would be experience with hip hop, house, breaking, modern/contemporary, Afro-Cuban (foklorico) & West African.
Looking for a team player, someone interested in touring nationally and internationally and performing locally with the company. Need to be based in LA or LA area (our rehearsals take place all over LA). Teaching experience would be a plus as well.
Paid performances and tours. Teaching Artist opportunities are available for co. members.
2010-2011 Fall and Spring touring will include: Brazil, North Carolina, Minnesota, Cuba, Alabama, Florida and Texas

Many Stories: One World is the theme for the National Storytelling
Conference to be held at the Warner Center Marriott Woodland Hills, Ca. Wed. July
28 through Sunday, August 1, 2010. The Conference has over 100 workshops,
performances, lectures, fringe concerts and story slams. It offers a chance to
mingle with the leading movers and shakers in the storytelling world --
people like Willy Claflin, Antonio Rocha, Diane Ferlatte and Nancy Donoval. Over
500 participants are expected to attend.
Conference is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased for the entire

The Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival (LAWTF), a multicultural
festival of solo artist, is accepting submissions for its Eighteenth
Annual Festival on March 24-27, 2011.
LAWTF is seeking female solo performers of all ethnicities and ages with
original performance pieces: actors, performance artist, dancers,
comedians, storytellers, singers, and performance poets from throughout
the world.
Send LAWTF your DVD depicting the entire and exact program under
consideration for the Festival (cued to 10 minute viewing segment of
your entire piece). Your submission must be clear and audible for
viewing. Please do not send audition tapes with only a collage of your
