Film Festival calls on independent filmakers to submit works on human
rights
Documentary and filmmakers worlwide, whose work focuses on human
rights, are invited to the 11th International Film Festival DerHumALC
to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina in May and June, 2009. Deadline
for submissions: December 15.
The Festival was created to provide a forum for debate and reflection
about human rights issues. According to the event's organizers,
Instituto Multimedia DerHumALC, "through the screenings of artistic
interpretations of independently produced films and videos, the event
aims to provide a lens to view and consider human rights issues from
around the globe."
In addition to the film screening, the Festival will contain panel
discussions, special film and video exhibitions and Q&A sessions with
directors, specialists and human rights organizations.
Participants must submit a DVD screener of the film, completed
registration form, and any accompanying materials.
