The Squeaky Wheel Tour®
The 3rd International Squeaky Wheel Tour® 2008 or SWT is held for 19 days from October 17-November 4th, 2008 in honor of one of our own. Singer/songwriter, Gina Bos, vanished after a performance in Lincoln, NE October 17, 2000 without a suspect, scandal or any accepted media hook. 850,000 missing persons reports are filed in the US each year. 110,000 of those missing people are ongoing missing persons cases. Most of those people vanish, just like Gina, without a media hook. The Squeaky Wheel Tour® and the family of GINA Artists have become their hook. To date: over 300 missing people have been found that were profiled by artists just like you. During SWT, 100's of artists all over the world profile local missing people at their already booked events. Once artists let GINA know they are interested in participating we place their event/s on our calendar and assign them a missing person.
October 16, 2008 a will be our SWT Kick-off event in Los Angeles. We would like to invite all area artists to attend for this heavily publicized TBA event.
A GINA/SWT Concert/Event is an approved event listed on the GINA or SWT Events page, linking that event to a particular missing child or adult. Each GINA or SWT event profiles local missing people to the event's audience. In cooperation with the missing person's family, the participating artists, law enforcement and local volunteers, our goal is to achieve local press for each event and missing person. Artists earmark their already booked events as a GINA/SWT Event. GINA/SWT Events raise awareness. Artists keep their gig money unless it's a special organized GINA/SWT Event. Artists are asked to tell those in attendance about GINA/SWT and the purpose of the event. Artists talk about the local missing and ask those attending the event to take a flyer to post or pass on.
A GINA or SWT CONCERT/EVENT is a concert, event, church, sporting event or media outlet that has held or is scheduled to host an event.

Once your event is approved and you are an official GINA Artist, we will match you up with a missing child and/or adult local to your event. We will post your event on our site to help get the word out. You will also be added to the growing list of GINA Artists. Additionally, we have a script on the GINA Artists page you can use during your event and a template of our press release for you to insert your event info into. We encourage you to fax or email this press release to your local press contacts in an effort to bring more eyes and ears to the story of your missing person(s) and your event. We hope this is self-explanatory, but if you have a question, please email us at: GinaSWTArtists@yahoo.com. Thanks for being the heart of this grassroots global community to gain International attention for the missing in an effort to bring one home.
