AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

2008 Multicultural Undergraduate Internship opportunities are now available throughout Los Angeles County!

Los Angeles-area museums and visual arts organizations are currently seeking eligible interns for the summer of 2008. Eligibility for these internships is limited to currently enrolled undergraduates who either reside or attend college in Los Angeles County, will have completed at least one semester of college by June 2008 and will not graduate before December 2008. Candidates are sought from all areas of undergraduate study and are not required to have demonstrated a previous commitment to the visual arts. The internships are intended specifically for outstanding students who are members of groups currently underrepresented in these professions: individuals of African American, Asian, Latino/Hispanic, Native American, and Pacific Islander descent. Interns are paid $3,500 for ten weeks of full-time work between June and August.

Eligible undergraduates should review the list attached and posted at http://www.getty.edu/grants/education/multicultural_la.html. This list will be updated and re-posted online as positions are filled. Prospective interns should contact participating organizations directly for information about the available positions and application procedures.
