"Art for Sale, Love for Rent" is a conceptual performance and a visual art piece targeting those who understand the importance of civil disobedience in these times of precarious leadership of our country, and our country's influence over the rest of the world.

"Art for Sale" is also a commentary on the idea that sex work is demeaning to the worker, that women (or anyone) that sells their body is doing so out of desperation or lack of agency. Sex Worker Rights advocates argue that sex work is not demeaning to many of them, and in fact, contrary to popular feminist belief, we areare renting our bodies not selling them.

The concept behind the purchase of the art is an act of civil disobedience against the laws that criminalize prostitution. Currently, sex for free is not a crime, but sex in exchange for money or goods IS. Buying art which symbolizes sex for money is also, not a crime.
