George Washington University to offer fellowships for filmmakers

The George Washington University's Documentary Center is planning to bring 10 filmmakers from around the world to Washington D.C. for a six-week fellowship in documentary filmmaking in May and June 2008, media-newswire.com reported.
The fellowship is open to filmmakers from Jordan, Algeria, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Morocco, Nepal, Somalia, Tunisia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

According to organizers, “the fellowship will allow these filmmakers to build upon their documentary experience and share their vision of the art of non-fiction with fellow filmmakers from around the globe.”

This program is sponsored by the Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
