AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

It's time to wake up your muse and create art and written
contributions for Issue 2 of "A.R.T.Zine", the zine by and for the
Artists of the Round Table. In response to many requests, this
issue will have LOTS more color!

Ways to participate:
· Send a picture (jpeg) of your of art
· Include a description of how the art was created
· Write a step-by-step tutorial for a project or technique
· Write about an art experience (a class, a retreat, teaching,
etc.)
· Send a favorite quote, either incorporated in a piece of
art, or just the quote text
· Write a review of a book magazine, website or blog (is there
an e-newsletter we might like to sign up for?), or just list your
favorites
· Create a special page for the front cover or back cover
(please indicate this in the ART database). The front cover is
always in color, the back cover will be printed in grayscale. If
you are creating the front cover, you must include "A.R.T. Zine June
2007" somewhere on it.
· Send goodies to give away
o Paper or fabric odds `n ends
o Fiber or yarn snippits
o Charms or beads, purchased or handmade (not too bulky,
please!)
o ATCs
o Punched pieces, die-cuts, stickers, etc.
o Any type of flat-ish, not-too-fragile, embellishments and
ephemera
o Small hand-carved stamps or unmounted stamps (you know, the
ones that came in a grab bag and you've never used)
· Take the challenge:
o Create art using Tyvek; send a picture of your creation and
tell us how you did it
o Do you `do art' on the go? Do you take your art supplies on
vacation? Tell us what types of portable art you make and the
supplies you ~have~ to have.
o Create a personal card (like a business card, only about
~you~!)—include your name, any optional contact information (mailing
addy, phone #, email addy, IM info), website, blog, picturetrail,
type of art you create, etc. Size: 2" x 3.5", landscape
orientation. Scans only, no digital photographs, or mail the
original. Designs may be front only, or front and back. These will
be printed in color, so be creative!

what you're sending
· Sign up in the ART Zine database (optional)
· Get your art, etc., ready and send it to me, deby. THE
DEADLINE FOR ME TO RECEIVE IT IS MAY 31, 2007.
· Giveaway goodies may be sent later. If possible, please
send enough for each copy of the zine printed (I'll let you know how
many after I take orders). FYI, the first zine sold out at 35
copies.

How to send your art, etc.:
For art:
· Email jpegs (scans or digital photographs) to deby at
renaissancewoman001@yahoo.com; OR
· Mail original art to Deby Corbett, P. O .Box 3494,
Springfield, MO 65808, and I will scan or photograph it. If you
want your art returned, send the same postage in stamps that it
takes to mail it to me.
For text:
· For a quote, text only, send in the body of an email to deby
at renaissancewoman001@yahoo.com
· For tutorials, etc., send as Rich Text Format (.rtf)
preferred, or as MS Word document (.doc), or WordPerfect document
(.wpd), and email to deby at renaissancewoman001@yahoo.com. You can
also scan your handwritten text and email the jpeg; however, if it
isn't legible when printed, we may have to do something else.
