Ryman Arts - Fall 2016. The Ryman Arts program provides 3 ½-hour classes at California State University, Fullerton on Saturdays and Otis College of Art and Design on Sundays for two 12-week sessions a year. The program includes discussions with visiting artists, field trips and college planning/career guidance workshops. LACMA Raises $6.4 Million, Acquires Two Art Collections. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art has announced the acquisition of five works of art and two collections, including the Mike Kaplan Poster Collection of nearly nine hundred posters. During LACMA's thirtieth annual Collectors Committee Weekend, members of its acquisitions committee voted on works of art to include in the museum's permanent collection and raised more than $6.4 million. Announced at the event was the acquisition of Siamak Filizadeh's Underground series and Claes Oldenburg's Typewriter Eraser, a soft sculpture held by the artist for forty-six years.
