Gamble Curator at the Autry Museum of the American West
The Gamble Curator is responsible for the interpretation and development of collections, exhibitions, publications, core galleries, and programs that explore the Twentieth-Century American West and popular culture, especially as related to film, literature, television, and music. The Gamble Curator is also responsible for the significant collection of historical firearms at the Autry and the on-going development of donor, collector, and trustee relationships to enhance and interpret these collections.
Museum experience and a MA or PhD (preferred) in a relevant field such as American Studies, History, or Museum Studies is required.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, C.V, a short writing sample from a recent exhibition project or piece written for a public audience, and the names and contact information for three references with their application.
