Exceptional Children'sFoundation, a growing nonprofit social service agency serving clients withdevelopmental disabilities throughout LA County, is seeking an experienced, ArtInstructor/Printmaker for our Downtown Los Angeles Art Center studio. TheInstructor will work one-on-one with adult students with developmentaldisabilities to develop their own unique artwork for sale in our downtowngallery as well as in other exhibition venues. This person should know avariety of printmaking techniques and other mixed-media techniques includingdrawing, painting, collage, etc. that can be adapted to create successfulprojects with our students. Responsibilities also include ensuring the safetyand wellbeing of our students, and helping to maintain an overall enjoyablestudio for all participants. Applicant should know how to operate and maintaina professional printing press, and be able to demonstrate their knowledgethrough their art portfolio. Knowledge and interest in contemporary art needed.Instructor will implement artistic, educational, and behavioral treatment plansmonthly. The position entails working with a several disabled clients at a timein a fun and energetic atmosphere. Experience with the disabled community ishighly preferred, but not required.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree and technical printmaking skills.

Weoffer:

- Primary schedule of Monday-Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
