A project of the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company, CHIME is a unique mentorship program allowing for self-selected pairs of professional choreographers – mentor and mentee – to receive financial support and cost-free studio time to establish and explore a working relationship that includes, but is not limited to, work in the studio.

"At the end of this year of changes I feel a stronger sense of support in myself. This is a significant change for me, and the CHIME program has been essential in the support and openness it provided me [...] CHIME is an amazing program. There is nothing nothing like this anywhere in the US, maybe in the world."
– Jmy James Kidd, 2012 mentee

CHIME grants are available to professional choreographers working in all dance styles.
"The outcome of the mentorship is that I am blessed with a real ally and also feel a reciprocal duty to support [my mentor] in any way I can [...] It was very freeing to have someone support my right to take risks." – Sheetal Gandhi, 2012 mentee
