AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

Create Now is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that transforms the lives of youth in need through arts mentoring and experiences. We are collaborating with a major health provider to supplement their theatre program.

Create Now seeks two Recycle Artists to teach four classes that will take place twice a week for two hours at a time, between June 10-June 24 at schools in Compton and North Hollywood. There will be 30 students ages 11-13 in each class. The goal is for the students to create unique cities out of recycled materials. Everything will be supplied.

Previous experience working with youth is preferred. Pay is $100/class ($400 total), which includes attendance at an orientation by the health provider and assisting their staff to learn about your artistic process. Please send your resume or bio and samples of your work to info@createnow.org.
