Grand Performances offers a meaningful, unpaid summer internship experience
as a photography intern within the Communications Department.

Grand Performances (GP),
L.A.’s premiere outdoor summer performing arts presenter, is looking
for a*Photography Intern
*for June-August 2013. GP is known for providing Angelenos with FREE
high-quality performances by world-renowned artists across all genres, and
our 27th summer will be no exception. But we need a highly motivated intern
to help us capture our season.

Interns will be a part of the professional photography crew and have the
opportunity to photograph a wide range of programs produced by Grand
Performances including: Grand Performances concerts, educational outreach
activities and donor special events. Interns will expand and build their
portfolios, while simultaneously learning about the performing arts and
community programs. Photos are used for publicity purposes, GP brochures,
GP website, Facebook, Flickr and more.

This is an unpaid/college credit internship located on Bunker Hill in
Downtown L.A. The ideal candidate can begin in late June and work once a
week throughout the summer season (times and dates are flexible). This
position requires evening and weekend work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have experience shooting live events
- Must be highly organized and self-directed; arrive to events on time and
submit photos in a timely manner
- Have experience with photo-editing programs
- Must have own equipment
- Interest in performing arts and community programs a plus
