A great opportunity for a media-savvy individual who loves music, culture,
and L.A.! in addition to assisting the Communications department in the
general promotion and marketing our 2013 summer season, the *Multimedia
Marketing Intern *will be primarily responsible for the creation of short
but fun editorial content. The perfect candidate will be not only be a
natural storyteller, but possess technical know-how. Understanding the
basic principles of marketing, branding, and customer engagement are key.
Grand Performances (GP),
L.A.’s premiere outdoor summer performing arts presenter, is looking
for a*Multimedia Marketing Intern
*for June-August 2013. Over the course of ten weeks, the Communications
department promotes more than 30 FREE high-quality performances that span
different genres and cultures - but we need a highly motivated intern to
help us.
This is a paid internship located on Bunker Hill in Downtown L.A. The ideal
candidate is an undergraduate that can begin in early June and work
30-40hours/week until Saturday, August 24th. This position requires evening

*Duties include:*
- Creating and executing short video or print stories on a weekly basis.
Topic covered could include: detailing audience experiences, recognizing
event sponsor recognition/engagement, providing insights on our artists.
Videos will ideally be 1-3minutes in length; print stories between 250-500
words.
· Working front-of-house at performances, including interacting
with patrons at information cart
· Improving outreach to current GP stakeholders and identifying new
audiences, partners and collaborators, including updating & expanding
(traditional and new) media distribution lists and editorial calendars
· Preparing collateral material for shows
· Season brochure and program distribution
· General administrative duties to support the Communications team
*Required Qualifications:*
- Current undergraduate student
- Must be adept at creating, shooting, and editing short videos for the
web (working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred)
- Must possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills (strong
proofreading skills a plus)
- Must be outgoing and excited to engage with artists and the public
both with utmost professionalism
· Must be proactive, and able to produce quality work under
deadlines with minimal supervision
- Must be interested in the performing arts!
