THEATRE HOUSE MANAGER

The JOHN ANSON FORD AMPHITHEATRE seeks a dynamic and experienced arts professional to oversee audience services for the Ford Amphitheatre this summer. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of previous House Management experience in a similar environment. This position will report directly to the Event Services Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The House Manager will manage house staff and patron services and ensure the smooth operation of events for over 50 performances from May through October, 2013. Applicants must have the ability to work varying hours including nights and weekends. Essential qualities include good judgment and leadership, courtesy and tact with staff and public, good writing skills, computer skills and quality customer service skills. The ability to speak a second language is desirable but not required.

Set in the Hollywood Hills just across from the Hollywood Bowl, the Ford Amphitheatre is an intimate 1200-seat outdoor theatre featuring music, dance, film and family events and is a program of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. To learn more about the Ford, please visit www.fordtheatres.org.

COMPENSATION: Range is $17 - $20 per hour. Shifts usually start at 5:00PM and include some weekend daytime shifts. 25 – 35 hours per week.
