DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Development Director—

4 Theatre facility, in the historic downtown core of Los Angeles seeks a full-time Development Director.

In collaboration with the company's Artistic Director, the General Manager, and our dynamic growing Board, the Director will work to provide the necessary resources for the continued advancement of the center.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising all fundraising activities and will directly participate in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of prospects and donors.

Development Director will also serve as liaison with the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities will include major gift cultivation and solicitation; writing and researching foundation and government grants, overseeing fundraising events including annual Gala benefit; managing annual fund and soliciting and acknowledging gifts; creating and implementing strategies for funding base.

A qualified Candidate would need to be a self starter, organized, creative, collaborative, enthusiastic, a flexible team player with a minimum of two years' development experience in annual fund or major gift fundraising and grant writing, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.

Spanish fluency a plus.

This position may require evenings/ weekends and holidays.
