Interested in telling your true story to an appreciative audience?

Whether you're a professional or first-timer, the SHINE Storytelling Series would like to hear from you! We are seeking people of all ages and walks of life to appear at our monthly event at the YWCA Westside, 2019 14th Street, Santa Monica.

SHINE is focused on true stories of positive change. Each month features a different theme.
Professional and amateur storytellers share the stage on the third Thursday of every month.

If you'd like to be booked for one of our upcoming programs, please submit your story and biography at least three weeks in advance of your desired date to event curator, Jen Bloom, at jen@santamonicarep.org.

In addition to storytellers booked in advance, we also leave two slots open each time for volunteers chosen by lottery from audience members.

Upcoming dates and themes include: February 21 – "The Kiss" Stories about memorable life changes involving a kiss. March 21 – "Storms" Tumultuous events which may or may not include an atmospheric storm.
