AMP: Artists' Meeting Place and Resource Collective

*ArtCorps seeks 1 artist to volunteer his or her creative talents to
strengthen sustainable development at Guatemala's Lake Atitlán—one of the most beautiful lakes in the world!

*The artist will:

·Work directly with World Neighbors, a non-governmental
organization highly respected for its approach to empowering communities to
find local, sustainable solutions to hunger, poverty, sickness and
environmental degradation.

·Use the arts to strengthen dialogue between community members and
World Neighbors and to improve the effectiveness of community environmental
education.

·Work as a volunteer and reside at Lake Atitlán for the duration of
the project.

·All work, living and international travel expenses will be paid
for by ArtCorps and World Neighbors.

· The project will begin as soon as possible and end in December
2009.
