Hello everyone. My band is currently set to play at cafe fantasio on sept 28. we are going to flying all the way from los angeles and we were maybe looking for some last minute bookings the week we play at the AMP fest. We really want to come out to Amsterdam and put on a great show, but we might not go if we can only play the one night at fantasio. We are a really new, powerful alternative rock group eager to book some last minute shows that week to go along with our show at cafe fantasio. If anyone can help that would be great! Let me know. My email address is Cherubrock1314@aol.com. Thanks!

Love to get feedback. Let me know what you think!
Hi all -
this be my first blog on AMP. I will try to post with some regularity...
Anyway, the bog story for us right now is our search....for a booking agent!
I wrote a little letter, which I will be sending to prospective agents. If anyone knows how to improve the letter (or knows any agents....!) feel free to comment or contact me. Thanks in advance for your interest.
Well, here goes:
Greetings!
My name is Neil Alexander, and I am the leader of Neil Alexander & NAIL, a cutting edge musical group playing a crossover of jazz/funk/jamband/ambient. We are seeking representation. Our goal is an international touring schedule. After defining our sound, releasing a new record and establishing ourselves on the local scene, we are seeking a young, determined booking agent who is ready to go the distance. I am certain that with the right representation we could be the next Medeski Martin & Wood, Bela Fleck or Pat Metheny Group. I will stop at nothing to accomplish this. Our new CD “Tugging At The Infinite” is a musical tour de force, filled with virtuoso performances, cutting edge technology, and most importantly – ear catching infectious melodies.
Here is the proof that AMP helps artists to get noticed:
After responding to a post in AMP's forums, I have been featured in downtownlalife.com on-line magazine.
Dear fellow artists, post your work here on AMP, art supporters do check it out.

A great magician left us this week.
Jerry Andrus was an incredible inventor: of card sleights, toys, and optical illusions. His performances were marked by two eccentricities:
1) He would never use a move or sleight that he had not invented.
2) He would never tell a lie. Not even on stage. He wouldn't say "The coin disappears" he would instead say "The coin appears to vanish", or "The coin is no longer in my hand."
Jerry was deeply committed to honestly, and had a rabid hatred of charlatans and fake-psychics. I remember he used to carry around an ad that he had clipped from a supermarket tabloid that had been placed by the Amazing Kreskin. Kreskin was offering to use his "abilities" to help the desperate for a price. When the subject of magical ethics came up, Jerry would pull the ad out of his wallet and fulminate.
I look at you as I do a cat, or a bird, or a flower, or any other natural being - with amazement a joy of the natural beauty of Mother Nature. Skin, scales, fur, leaves and bark are the same.
I neither think or act as a man of the 'world' but as a man of the Earth. I do not live IN the 'world' but WITH the 'world'. Because there is no greater power here than nature, as it is pure and balanced; whereas the commercial world is false and unsustainable in it's future.
Nature gives in abundance (not one seed but millions, not one offspring but several, not a single raindrop but showers of them, etc.) only needing love, care and respect in return.

Whenever I begin a new class with new aspirants from different religious
backgrounds or choreograph for some special performance, I ponder where
to begin. I try and think of songs or themes which are adequate for the
situation without any strings attached to a particular faith. It becomes very
difficult but somehow I manage to do with some instrumental music.
These days I am visiting an NGO, they are preparing a small cultural
programme to be put up on the United Nations Foundation Day in New Delhi.
This NGO helps families below poverty line by giving them useful vocational
