The Department of Visual Arts and Art History, School of Arts, Media, Performance and Design at York University invites highly qualified applicants for a Sessional Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream position in Studio Arts (Painting). Since their creation, the FRAC (Fonds Régionaux d’Art Contemporain / Regional Contemporary Art Funds) structures have been assigned four main missions by central government and regional councils: build up public contemporary art collections, exhibit these collections, raise public awareness of contemporary art, and support artists and the artistic scene. Created in 1982, the FRAC structures have been supporting contemporary creation for more than forty years. Since 2017, they have been accredited as owners of an artistic and cultural project of general interest.

Art competition in Hamburg to design the Denk-Ort (monument/contemplative space) for sexual and gender diversity.

The art competition will be conducted through an open international application process. Artists and interdisciplinary collaborative groups led by artists are encouraged to apply.

A monument site for sexual and gender diversity will be implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Media at the Neuer Jungfernstieg / Lombardsbrücke, a prominent location in the heart of the city of Hamburg. The realisation budget is 300,000 Euro (gross).
